On September 7, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In the new EOI draw 193, Manitoba has issued LAAs to 558 candidates, including 158 Express Entry candidates for this round.  Details of the new EOI Draw 193 Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) held invitation round under MPNP streams i.e. Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream, Skilled Workers Overseas stream, and International Education Stream As a candidate, you can work with an immigration specialist. Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream and invited 230 applicants who scored 595 points and above.  Manitoba also issued 236 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 640 points, 6 points fewer than the previous draw.  Skilled Workers Overseas stream In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 40 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The lowest score in the SWO category was 724 points, the same as in the previous draw.  International Education Stream 52 invitations were issued in addition to the International Education Stream.  In 2023, MPNP invited 11,169 candidates, and 2,972 of them received invitations in the Express Entry. Occupation-specific selection  Profiles declaring current employment in Manitoba in occupations specific as having essential labor needs based on Statistics Canada data were taken into consideration. Canada attracts more internationally educated healthcare professionals

Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Saskatchewan had the highest percentage of internationally educated healthcare professionals (IEHPs) working in their fields in 2021, with 74%, 68%, and 67%, respectively.  Ontario had attracted the most significant number of IEHPs, with 116,310 residing there in 2021. IEHPs were most likely to be nurses, with one-third studying nursing.  The fields of study varied by province, with: Prince Edward Island has the highest percentage of IEHPs studying nursing at 53%,  Newfoundland and Labrador has 30% trained to be physicians, and  Ontario has the highest proportion of IEHPs studying dentistry at 10% or pharmacy at 9%. Internationally educated healthcare professionals (IEHPs) in Canada According to the report’s authors, “There were an estimated 259,695 internationally educated healthcare professionals (IEHPs) aged 18 to 64 residing in Canada in 2021, accounting for 13% of all Canadians in the same age group with post-secondary education in a health field, excluding temporary residents.” These IEHPs in Canada’s healthcare system were most likely nurses. “About one-third of IEHPs in Canada studied nursing,” according to the survey. “Those who trained to be physicians came in second at 15%, followed by those who studied in the fields of pharmacy at 8% and dentistry at 8%.” The significance of immigrants to provincial healthcare systems and their specific fields of study varies significantly across Canada.  The great majority of these healthcare professionals, seven out of ten, are women under the age of 50.  “About half of IEHPs immigrated to Canada between the ages of 25 and 34,” the research said. “Nearly one-third of all IEHPs had arrived in Canada recently (between 2016 and 2021).” Registered nurses with a university degree in nursing, registered psychiatric nurses with a bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in psychiatric nursing, and licensed practical nurses with postsecondary degrees in nursing are all accepted in Canada. On September 7, 2023, OINP held the sixth round of invitations in Ontario’s Express Entry French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream.  In this round, the OINP issued 300 Invitations to Apply for the Francophone candidates. The Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) range of candidates who received the Notification of Interest from the OINP was between 308 and 434 points.  The Express Entry profiles of the candidates were created between September 7, 2022, and September 7, 2023. Canada is ranked 2nd best country in the world overall in the 2023 Best Countries ranking by U.S. News, up from 3rd place in 2022. U.S. News analyzed ten sub-categories and surveyed over 17,000 people from 36 countries before ranking 87 countries. Canada ranked in the top five for four sub-categories: Entrepreneurship, Quality of Life, Social Purpose, and Agility.  Canada also ranked in the top seven for nine attributes, such as being the 2nd best country for starting a career and racial equality. These rankings show that Canada is a leading destination for immigrants seeking to build a better life, with excellent opportunities for education and career development. Subranking results were weighted based on many factors, including each country’s GDP, to obtain the overall ratings. Subrankings that were more linked with wealth were generally weighted more heavily. Switzerland topped the worldwide rankings for the second year in a row. The small European country placed first in the “open for business” sub-ranking and was also in the top ten in four other categories. Meanwhile, Canada has surpassed Germany to become the world’s second-best country, moving up from third position in 2022. Based on these assessments, an overall ranking of 87 countries was calculated. This comprehensive methodology provides a nuanced assessment of a country’s position in the global arena. The minimum score for candidates invited to this draw was 89-110 points.  In the childcare-targeted draw: The province issued 43 ITAs to candidates under the childcare-targeted draw for early childhood educators (NOC 42202).  In the Healthcare-targeted draw, BC invited 19 candidates who scored 60 points. In this round, Sudbury considered 62 candidates.  The lowest score of these draws was 220 points, 20 points fewer than in the previous draw.  So far, the city has considered 292 candidates in 2023.  Last year, Sudbury invited a total of 154 applicants. Since the program’s launch, the city has recommended at least 462 individuals under the RNIP. In this round, Sudbury considered 54 candidates, including one drawn through the Francophone Stream. The lowest score of these draws was 240 points, ten points lower than in the previous draw.  On June 28, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 53 candidates.  The lowest score of these draws was 250 points, ten points lower than in the previous draw. On May 31, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 24 candidates.  The lowest score of these draws was 260 points, the same as in the previous draw. Last year, Sudbury invited a total of 154 applicants. On February 23, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 25 candidates. The lowest score of these draws was 245 points, five points fewer than in the previous draw.  All applicants had one eligible occupation and a wage over $20 per hour. On March 29, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). In this round, Sudbury considered 27 candidates. The lowest score of these draws was 270 points, 25 points more than in the previous draw. Five of these candidates were drawn through the Francophone Stream.  On January 26, 2023, the City of Greater Sudbury held a new round of invitations for the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP). On September 1, 2023, the Government of Canada extended measures allowing international students using the PGWP distance learning option to pursue their higher education in Canada to be eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).  PGWP distance learning measures The measures introduced on October 6, 2022, and set to expire on August 31, 2023, have been extended to December 31, 2023.  Students who start their online study program between September 1, 2022, and December 31, 2023, will be able to count the time spent studying online outside of Canada until December 31, 2023, toward the overall length of the PGWP if it does not exceed 50% of the program. Students who have graduated from eligible Canadian designated learning institutions (DLIs) are eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) Program, which enables them to get an open work permit while acquiring valuable Canadian work experience. Graduates can become eligible for permanent residence in Canada through the Canadian experience class in Express Entry by collecting skilled Canadian work experience in TEER categories 0, 1, or 3 through the PGWP Program. For international students who want to live and work in Canada after completing their program of study, a PGWP is an open work permit. PGWP holders are permitted to work for nearly any employer in Canada because it is an open work permit. The duration of the PGWP could last up to three years, depending on the length of the study program. What are the Post-graduation work permit eligibility requirements? To be eligible for a post-graduation work permit, the candidate must either have a valid temporary status or have left Canada. They must have completed a designated learning institution (DLI) course. They must also provide proof that they meet all of the following criteria: They completed an academic, vocational, or professional training program of at least 8 months duration at a recognized Canadian institution leading to a degree, diploma, or certificate. They have maintained full-time student status in Canada for the duration of each academic session of the program or programs of study that they have finished and submitted as part of their post-graduation work permit application. They have obtained a transcript and an official letter from the eligible DLI indicating that they have completed their program of study requirements. In July 2023, the provincial Government of New Brunswick issued new Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the NBPNP streams.  The province issued 58 ITAs under the New Brunswick Employment Connection stream, 130 ITAs through the New Brunswick Student Connection stream, and 71 invitations under the Express Entry Occupations In-Demand Connection stream.  In total, New Brunswick invited 259 candidates in July. In 2023, 889 candidates received ITAs under these three NBPNP streams. The number of applications in the NBPNP’s backlog at the time of the invitation round determines the size and frequency of the draws. With certain exceptions, NBPNP draws are typically held every month. Dates for the upcoming New Brunswick PNP draws have not been announced before. The New Brunswick PNP frequently examines the IRCC’s Express Entry pool to discover applicants who fit the requirements of one of its streams. There were 121 invites sent to qualified candidates in the federal Express Entry pool in the latest NB Express Entry stream draw, which was held in June. About the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) The agreement with the Canadian government has made it possible for the NBPNP, a provincial immigration program, to exist. The NBPNP is an economic program that chooses and nominates skilled individuals from all over the world who will reside in New Brunswick and support the local economy by working there full-time and constantly.   What are the eligibility requirements for NBPNP streams? Application submissions are evaluated by immigration program officers using selection criteria and eligibility requirements. The requirements for eligibility must be met. Additionally, you should be aware that fulfilling the conditions does not ensure nomination. Those applicants who have the best chance of establishing themselves economically in New Brunswick will receive priority. The requirements are: You fall between the ages of 22 and 55. You speak English and/or French sufficiently to perform your job responsibilities. You have the education, qualifications, and/or licenses required to carry out your work responsibilities. You will live and work in New Brunswick. Your job offer is legitimate. You work full-time, permanently, for a business in New Brunswick. The following National Occupation Classification (NOC) skill levels correspond to your occupation: levels O, A, and B Skill level D, Category 1, 3, 7, 8, or C, depending on the situation.
